I am a writer of short fiction, novels and personal essays based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I am a freelance writer and editor with a strong background in business and marketing (MBA) and in education with a focus on special education (M.Ed.). The written word is a powerful tool for communication, for sharing the human experience and for telling stories that revolve around universal themes. As an expatriate writer, I am especially interested in exploring what happens to people when they are uprooted by changes in relationships, physical location, and other life events. I believe that we have more in common with one another than we realize. I write in order to share pieces of myself and to help others feel a little bit less alone.
